NWA Boutique Show

The NWA Boutique Show is one of my favorite events for 2Katie Designs to attend as a vendor. I love the shopping, the atmosphere & customers are uncomparable. It's 2 days of exhausting fun! See  all thegreat NWA Boutique Show vendors details here.

I know all the vendors work hard to shine at this show and here are some behind the scenes from our workshop & booth space.

The preperation for this show is brutal...making inventory, packing it & loading it requires all hands on deck. Even my grandparents here for a visit from Washington State were put to work finish frames! They were great sports about it.

It's a mess setting up the booth & my creative input isn't always appreciate. I was in love with the idea of having rusty corrguated walls so the colorful items we have would pop visually...which my crafty husband made happen.

I also dreamed of curtains & a chandelier - he and my sewing friend Becky from Darling Livi also whipped those up for the booth.

A sparkly Christmas tree was a must.

Can't pay for help as good as this - love Kara!

By the time the doors openin we looking all pulled together. Goodness overflowing from every possible corner. It was spectacular & better than my creative brain imagined.

Glorious wall of stockings!

The crafty hubs is the best sales guy...I really think the ladies like talking to him more than me : )
The chalkboard mustaches hidden in that front bin where a HIT - thankgoodness for last minnute suggestions from the team we made some & couldn't believe how fast they sold.

So much eye candy - frames, custom bedding, cutie signs & home decor.

We incorporated several furniture pieces we re-did in the booth decor this time. I loved how it worked for storage but also a good talking point about or abilities in that area.

Growth charts in several new styles were one of the most sought after items of the show. We couldn't make them fast enough.

Of course we had some little goodies like these gems. Fabulous Christmas headbands!

Little weenie dogs were a new item from Darling Livi - kiddos & adults love their stuffies.

We were stuffed to the gills with Chevron pillows, there were several Chevron items highlighted thruought the show in support of the "Show me your Chevron event" for I'm with Miller fundraiser they did as part of the event.

These magnificent ladies make it all easy on me, putting up with my cranky stressed out creative self. We made it happen. Thanks to the NWA Boutique Show for having us.

Junque 2 Jewels, October 2012

We had our fall Junque 2 Jewels event this passed weeked and I wanted to share some of the details.

We had a

The furniture selection was amazing - more selection & variety than ever before!

We had new vendors like Sassy Doodles who made the adorable door hangers, large & small.

Our VIP night was over the top fabulous with fall food favorites.

Look at all the fun fall goodness! End tables, fall pillows, how decor signs, furniture. It's the best shopping under one roof - I promise!

That Chevron pumpkin had to come live with me : )

Lots of on trend Chevron items.

One of the items we added was clothing & jewlery more so than in past events.  It added a fun boutique touch & was popular with customers.

I love how our little shop is forever changing, one of the changes for this event was our new nursery space. We collected all the baby items & decor to create a little cutie baby haven.

Pillows galore!

A few fun Christmas items to get y'all in the spirit too!
Thanks to everyone who came & shopped in the miserable weather. We are recovered & dreaming up the next event already. See ya at Junque 2 Jewels in 2013!

Scrapbooking...

It's been hit or miss on makin time to scrapbook but I did want to share a few of my latest projects.

You are my Happy - 2 Page Layout

Still lacking photos but I loved using the product from Echo Park to create a boyish layout featuring a technique  of layring squares to create the triagular edge which was a fun & easy element using paper to make a unique border.

Adore 2 Page Layout

This layout is a blend of vintage & bold modern patterns which I think is a great combo. I used lots of Hiedi Swapp Sugar Chic product to great this. I handcut flower blooms from patterened paper for the top right corner. Sprayed lost of banners with Glimmer mist to create layer, texture & sparkle too.

Spring, 2 Page Layout

To know Rhonna Farrar's work is to love her, I'm in fact a little obsessed with her & was just tickled she collaborated with My Minds Eye as a designer for this paper line.

I used a playful mixture of the patterned paper & stickers from the collection. I also used sewing patterns to create a looped fring border & flower. The title letters are Pink Paislee, sprayed with Glimmer Mist.

I love sparkle so used some glitter paper incorpareted as banners on both pages.

Overall it was a fun & fresh page...now to find the perfect photos to compliment the designs.

Baby Shower

I love being an auntie & I love throwing a party...so my sister's pregnancy is the perfect occasion for me on so many levels!

Time to throw a shindig.

We went with on owl theme to coordinate with baby Samantha's nursery decor. These fabulous owl stuffies served as uniqe centerpieces from Darling Livi - they were a hoot!

Cookies on a tiered tray were owl-dorable!

Set the theme outside as guests walked in with a cute baby quote.

The desert table all decked out.

This is the guests table with "Sam" framed on burlap. We used Wall Junque frames to instruct guests to sign a baby book for Sam as well as highlight ultrasound and maternity pictures. In the wood slab (created by my craft husband) we displayed handmade white chocolate suckers for favors to each guest.

Drink Bar, we did a breakfast punch since it was a brunch along with a Kerig Coffee bar for guets.

Somce of the yummy brunch food. Silver trays and small glasses found while thrifting added a special elegant & rustic touch - you don't get that with store bought platters!

We made a donut hole tree and offered bagels with spreads & muffins on the bread table.

Another look at the dessert table, we spend lots of time on the ribbon garland & it was stunning!

By the front door we purched a little owl decor and framed the shower invite in a Wall Junque Frame.

Close up of dessert table decor. We made a big S for Sam and painted & added glitter polka dots for some fun. We also made the cake & banner. More ultrasound pics in a Wall Junque frame.

This tree stand tiered cupcake stand was possibly my favorite element of party decor. Made by my craft husband.

Cake pop stand was quick & easy decor made by my craft husband.

You can see the marvelous girly breakfast table with tulle & ruffles peaking in this shot. Along with a garland we made with book pages & cupcake liners.

The shower was a smashing success & now mama is ready to welcome baby Sam. She loved all the DIY touches & it was fun to create many of the projects together. Guests were WOWed saying it was Pinterest brought to life!
